This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on collevo.io, operated by Collevo. It sits alongside our Privacy policy, which explains how we handle personal information more broadly.
What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Session storage and local storage are similar places in your browser where a site can keep small pieces of information. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab; local storage stays until it is cleared. In this policy, “cookies” covers all of them.
Some cookies are strictly necessary: the site, or a part of it you asked to use, cannot work properly without them, so they do not need your consent. Others are analytics cookies: they help us understand how the site is used, and we only set them if you agree.
Your choice
On your first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Accept and Reject are equally easy, and nothing that needs your consent loads before you choose.
- Accept: Google Analytics loads and may set its cookies, and the site may remember the first visit that brought you here.
- Reject: Google Analytics does not load, its cookies are deleted, and the first visit record is not stored (any existing one is removed).
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a GPC signal and you have not made a choice, we treat it as Reject and do not show the banner. If you later choose Accept in Cookie settings, we follow that choice.
We remember your choice for 12 months, then ask again.
Cookies we use
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
collevo_consent |
Collevo (first party) | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, with the version of the banner you saw and the date | Strictly necessary | 12 months |
collevo:attribution (session storage) |
Collevo (first party) | Keeps the campaign tags in the link you used, the referring website and your landing page, so an early access signup can be credited. Only sent to us if you submit the form | Strictly necessary | Until you close the tab |
collevo:ea-email (session storage) |
Collevo (first party) | Carries the email you type into a “Get early access” box over to the early access form, so you do not have to type it twice | Strictly necessary | Until you close the tab |
collevo:ea-draft (session storage) |
Collevo (first party) | Keeps your answers on the early access page if you reload or a send fails, so nothing is lost | Strictly necessary | Until you finish signing up or close the tab |
cf_clearance |
Cloudflare | Records that your browser passed a security check, so you are not challenged again | Strictly necessary | 30 minutes by default |
__cf_bm |
Cloudflare | Tells people from bots, to protect the site and the early access form from automated abuse | Strictly necessary | 30 minutes |
collevo:first-touch (local storage) |
Collevo (first party) | Remembers the first tagged visit from your browser, so a later signup can be credited to the campaign that first brought you here. Removed if you reject | Analytics | Until you reject analytics cookies or clear your browser storage |
_ga |
Google Analytics | Distinguishes one browser from another, so visits can be counted | Analytics | 2 years |
_ga_<container> |
Google Analytics | Keeps the state of your current visit (session). <container> is our Google Analytics measurement ID |
Analytics | 2 years |
Cloudflare sets cf_clearance and __cf_bm only when its security checks need them, for example when you use the early access form, which is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. We cannot turn these off without making the form unsafe.
Tools that use no cookies
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits in aggregate without cookies or any identifier stored in your browser.
- Sentry error monitoring sends technical reports when something breaks. It sets no cookies, does not record your session, and does not collect your IP address, user details, cookies, request headers or URL query strings.
Both are described in the Privacy policy.
How to change your choice
Use the Cookie settings button in the footer of any page. It reopens the banner so you can accept or reject again. If you switch to Reject, Google Analytics stops loading, its _ga cookies are deleted, and the first visit record is removed.
How to control cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies and site data. Look in your browser’s settings or help pages:
You can also install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the site, such as the early access form, may not work.
Changes
If we add, remove or change a cookie, we will update the table above and the “Updated” date. If a change needs your consent, we will ask again through the banner before setting anything new.
